Apple announced a new iOS 15 updates for iPhones

On Monday, Apple delivered its big annual update – iOS 15 for iPhone.

This year’s update has some significant modifications, such as the ability of FaceTime that enables users to make calls with Android and Windows users as well. It also has advanced artificial intelligence that can better identify plants, animals, and various photos. It also comes with a feature that can control notification limits.

While Apple releases its software updates regularly during the year, the recent update with new iPhones has the most advanced features and innovations.

The company decided to make IOS 15 available for many older phones, starting from the iPhone 6S, released in 2015.

Here’s a list of features included in IOS 15:

FaceTime with Windows and Android users

Before, Apple had a restriction on FaceTime, held for Apple products only. A button will allow users to generate a link to a FaceTime chat and send that link, and other people can join in the conversation but with permission.

New Messages integration

Messages can assign that information to different apps. For example, if someone sends a link, it will show up in a section named Shared with You.

Advanced AI that can recognize what’s in a photo or a text

It includes improved photo recognition capabilities. It can recognize and present more information about facts, animals, plants, places, and books.

More control on notifications during offs

iPhone users will only see notifications from apps or other people they have approved earlier.

Privacy protections

It will show users how often an app reached their microphone or location over the week.

Driver’s license in Apple Wallet

Apple added the ability to place keys and driver’s licenses into the Wallet app. However, it might take time before all users can have an advantage of these significant new features.
