Chinese Citizens Strongly Criticized Elon Musk
On Monday, Chinese citizens criticized Elon Musk after China complained that its space station was forced to take evasive action to avoid collision with satellites launched Elon Musk’s Starlink program.
Starlink’s satellites had two “close encounters” with the Chinese space station on July 1 and October 21. The space station implemented preemptive collision avoidance control according to a document submitted by China. The country submitted a document regarding accidents to the UN.’s space agency. The world’s second-largest economy began constructing the space station in April with the launch of Tianhe.
One user said on China’s Twitter-like Weibo microblogging platform that Starlink’s satellites were “just a pile of space junk”. Another user described Startlink’s satellites as “American space warfare weapons”.
Elon Musk, SpaceX, and risk factors
With thousands of satellites and other debris believed to be orbiting the planet, scientists urged governments to share data to reduce the risk of catastrophic space stations.
SpaceX already launched nearly 1,900 satellites to serve its Starlink broadband. The company founded by Elon Musk plans to launch more satellites in the future.
Last month, NASA canceled a spacewalk, citing risks posed by space debris. Elon Musk also made a comment on this Twitter account. SpaceX adjusted some of its satellites to reduce the possibility of collisions according to Musk.
Several months ago people also criticized Tesla. Besides state media, and regulators criticized Tesla following a woman’s protest at a major auto show in April.
In January, a Tesla Model 3 reportedly exploded in a Shanghai parking garage, while a state media article said there were at least 10 reports in 2020 of Tesla drivers in the country losing control of their cars.
