Everything You Need To Know The New Apple TV 4K

In the middle of the excitement over the new iMac, AirTags and iPad Pro, it might easy to miss the event that this month the company also will release a new Apple TV. In four years, it is the company’s first update to its streaming box. It features an entirely updated remote control, a powerful upgraded processor, and some incredible new capabilities. You can adjust the screen using a color calibration mode. It will be soon available at the end of May.

The last model was the previous version of the Apple TV back in 2017. It was and still is a solid streaming player, but it needs an update. The aging processor is not very well equipped to cope with the new features. And the remote control required an update as it was one of the unpopular remote controls ever made.

The release date of the new Apple TV 4K

On April 20, the company announced the new Apple TV 4K at Apple’s Spring Loaded event. It was along with the new purple iPhone 12, iPad Pro, AirTags, and 24-inch iMac. You can preorder the Apple TV 4K if you like as it is with most of those devices. $179  is a retail price for the 32GB version or $199 for 64GB. Also, for $149, there is a new HD version of the Apple TV.

The external image of the Apple TV 4K is the same. It still is a modest little square device with rounded corners. It comes with the A12 Bionic, which can handle all the streaming demands that the Apple TV 4K has, including new features such as high frame rate HDR.  It is responsible for improving sports and some movies. Other than that, you might not notice much of an improvement.
